New Hobby!!! [General1 Sports] — socket @ 7:24 am

I enjoy technology, new gadgets, blazing fast computers, good graphics, FPS and gaming. But there comes a time when I like to get outside and have some good old fashioned fun… Err, not so old fashioned. Most of you that know me know that I like to live life on the edge; Speed being the edge of choice most of the time. Well I’m selling my motorcycle cause I don’t want to live life on the ticket edge here in the over populated cop state.

I found a sport for me though that allows some risk, building of something besides computers (yes they aren’t everything, I hate to break it to ya). To break the suspense for those of you that are wondering how I will attempt to inflict pain on myself this time … I have a new Pocket Bike (not so new looking anymore, due to wrecking a few times)

for some pics of some of the guys that I ride with Click Here!!!

I will give you a hint… I am on page 2 # 4025… You can find the rest
My cousin is on the first page # 4010

We race on the weekends and late at night in empty parking lots. I also ride mine to Costco taking some of the back roads on occasion. But I only live about a mile from Costco at the most and I take all side streets and bike trails.

My bike is actually in the Salem area until Tuesday. I am getting everything ported in the little guy and that should take me from a top speed of 29.9 Mph up to around 35 - 40 Mph with stock gearing. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to those that know me, due to the fact that nothing I have has ever stayed stock.

My bike is less than 2 feet tall and less than 3 feet long. It fits in the trunk of my wife’s car and weighs less than 36 pounds. The stock motor had about 2.7 Hp, but by the time that I am done with it, it should have over 5hp and do around 40Mph (or close to it).

Insane you say? Exactly!!!

I will have some more pictures in the future but if you want more information on this hilarious sport go to nwminimoto and take a look around.

funny joke, as seen in irc today [General] — boro @ 3:20 pm

Funny comment on /. re: the TCP security hole…
“UDP just I. switch ll’ll to I just”

I thought that was quite humorous.

BTW, this is networking humor, so if you don’t understand how udp is different from tcp, it won’t make any sense to you.
