As the saga continues, our hero tries desperately to seek the source of the ….

Ok, on the advice of my Qwest buddy, who is also the tech who checked out my line, I called my ISP, dsl-only, and the wonderful tech support guy rebuilt my circuit. Unfortunately he could see nothing wrong, but he did suggest that I try swapping computers when the problem happens again and to call him if it persists. Hopefully I won’t have to do this, but I think I might just have to sometime either tonight or tomorrow morning.

For anyone who has tried to either get to this website or send me an email, I am having some fairly major internet troubles. Up until this afternoon I didn’t know what the problem was, but a buddy of mine who happens to be one of the local dsl techs for Qwest, graciously found out the source of all my troubles. It seems that I have a little wiring issue in my house, so tonight I will see what I can do to fix it.

Woohoo! I am excited because I am less than an hour away from my vacation. My family and I will be attending a family reunion of my dad’s side of the family. This is something that we do ever 3 or 4 years. I am really excited this year, because I wasn’t able to attend the last one, so this will be the first time that I get to show off my amazing wife and my two special little boys. Plus throw in 5 days of relaxation, family, and golf, and that is quite a treat. It is going to be great!

Beth has been very studious in getting all of the details planned. We have most everything we need and all I have to do tonight is just find a way to fit it all in or on our van. Praise the Lord for roof racks! It probably wouldn’t be so much stuff, but since we are one of the three families from the area, we will need to bring in stuff like a small fridge, games, and extra items that those who are flying in from the Mid-West won’t be able to bring.

Unlike most of my friends, most of my extended family does not live within a day’s drive. Although this can be a good thing at time, and it was good when Beth and I were getting to know each other as husband and wife, we really do miss the chance to get together with close family. So I am really looking forward to this.
