Yes, this blog still lives.

At the moment Awana is getting back into full swing at church. It is a very exciting and also quite stressful time of the year. However, the Lord is gracious and is giving us peace and energy through all of the trials.

Also of note, it has been a very busy summer. After finally getting the internet back up here at my house (which was caused by problems with my lvm initrd and my dsl modem), I am again available for your perusal. We also took two vacations. The first was at the beginning of August as we had our family reunion. This happens like every 3 years, and it is a great time to see family members that I don’t get to see but once every three years. Our second vacation was during the third week of August when we went down to Nevada to visit my wife’s folks. I hadn’t been down there in a few years, so it was nice to be in their house again. We have seen them during that time period, but only my wife has had a chance to visit them with the boys.

Otherwise, life is getting back into it’s normal ’school’ routine.

One other thing of note: Tribes Vengeance is in an open beta. I am currently playing it, although my GeForce 2mx 32MB card doesn’t cut it very well. I hope to be able to pickup a Leadtek GeForce FX 5700 Ultra 128MB in the next couple of months. That should make the game much more playable. As it is I just got out of some pubbing in the “cavern” map and the game was herky-jerky. I doubt if I was even getting 25fps during most of the fights.

Anyway, it is time for bed and that is my braindump for the night.
